The first thing to do is to pick out your location.
Maybe you already have land or are in the land buying
process. If you need our assistance we have people and
resources to help you find the ideal piece of property
for you. If financing is going to be required we can
assist you in this as well. We work with local lenders
to make this construction phase painless and cost effective.
Bring your design ideas to the
meeting. If you don't have any that's okay, we can get
you pointed in the direction to your ideal home design.
After a rough design is achieved then it is time to
figure out some additional features you may need or
want, like a garage, or that whirlpool tub!
After an initial design meeting we can give you some
very budgetary costs on your project. This is easily
achieved after you have decided on land and we can look
at your site. A septic plan where required, swith a
plot plan is critical, and required by all towns. We
can get this done for you.
After the major issues are resolved
it is time to get specific. Heating systems, electrical,
and finishing options are explained and defined with
your needs and wants placed first. Finishing features,
colors and materials are what turn a house into your
home. Emphasis is placed on this when you are ready
to make decisions, and this is when your home planning
really starts to take shape. This design phase may take
as little as a couple of appointments or as mazny as
you need. Fill out a Scope
of Work Sheet to get a better idea of all
the steps.
A scope sheet will give you a list of all the required
services. We will also give you a fixed cost price sheet
on your home with all of the options listed and priced.
This allows you to make decisions on your terms, and
based on your budget.
We can assist you in your site
layout. We will get a soils test for you, and help layout
your site for optimal house location. Maybe a daylight
basement will work, or a well placed bulkhead will work
better for you.
Septic systems, and drilled wells are the normal situation
for most of our rural locations, but tapping into existing
public water and sewer is easily dealt with also.

A well thought out driveway will enhance your site
and make access a pleasure instead of a hassle. Tie
this into a nice garage of any size and you have convenience
and safety for you and your vehicles.
Power can be overhead or underground and depends on
your specific needs. Define and add some finishing touches
such as porches, colors, and decks and you are almost
home.
