What is a Modular Home?

A Modular Home is built in a factory environment with materials that have been stored away from the elements, not pre-soaked and warped. The home is then carried in sections by transporters to your building site where it is "set" by a licensed, qualified crew and then finished by ZABI Homes and its contractors over the next several weeks.

Modular Homes - as simple
or as complex as any site-built home.

Constantly improving building technology and engineering allows ZABI Homes in partnership with Keiser Industries to build any style of home from a simple 1,000 square foot Ranch to a custom 4,500 square foot design with varying roof pitches "ell" extensions, reverse dormers, and custom window layouts. Whether you want a standard Colonial design or a Cathedral Cape full of dormers and custom features, we can design and build it. Commercial properties and Hotels are also modular options. On time and On Budget!

Modular Homes are not the same
as "Manufactured Homes".

Modular Homes are constructed to BOCA federal and state building codes, as well as local regulations. In contrast, Manufactured Homes comply with the Federal Construction Safety Standards Act (HUD/CODE), which requires homes to be constructed on a non-removable steel chassis. Often referred to as "trailers, mobiles or doublewides" these homes offer many features and initial value, but they generally do not appreciate in value, nor stand the test of time like a wood framed home. Many communities have restrictions on where manufactured (trailers) homes can be located.

Modular Homes are better
built than site-built homes.

Modular homes are engineered and constructed under strict guidelines and regulations. Factory fixtures, processes and craftsmen insure consistent dimensioning, fit and quality. Modular homes are subject to third party engineering and over two hundred quality third party inspections unlike site built houses. Modular is the way to build now and for the future!!
